Problem

  • Cyber Threats & Fraud: Need to increase public awareness regarding cyber threats, digital fraud, and safe online practices to reduce financial and identity-related crimes.
  • Community & Property Safety: Need to educate citizens on CCTV installation, house burglary prevention, chain snatching, and other preventive measures to improve safety.
  • Road Safety: Need to promote responsible driving, helmet usage, and adherence to traffic rules to reduce road accidents and fatalities.
  • Women & Child Protection: Need to raise awareness regarding legal provisions and protective measures for women and children, including the use of She Teams and Dial 100/112 services.
  • Substance Abuse & Illegal Betting: Need to address the harmful consequences of drug abuse and curb illegal betting applications within the community.

Solution

  • Programme Launch and Planning: Launched the “Mana Uru Mana Badratha – Mana Badyatha” initiative under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Nizamabad, to build police-public partnerships.
  • Police Station-Level Implementation: Systematically organised awareness programmes at every police station, involving local leaders, Sarpanches, Corporators, youth, and citizens.
  • Comprehensive Awareness Campaigns: Held interactive sessions covering key safety issues like cybercrime, CCTV installation, protection for women/children, road safety, and anti-drug measures.
  • Large-Scale Execution: Executed 1,073 awareness programmes across all police stations under the Nizamabad Police Commissionerate for consistent public engagement.
  • Community Partnership & Safety Focus: Educating citizens, fostering community ownership, and building trust between the public and law enforcement.

Outcomes

  • Extensive Public Outreach: Successfully conducted 1,073 awareness sessions across all police stations since April 27, 2026, reaching a large portion of the population.
  • Improved Public Awareness: Knowledge gained by citizens regarding cybercrime prevention, road safety, CCTV installation, and anti-drug measures enabled them to take preventive action.
  • Enhanced Community Participation: Active involvement of Sarpanches, Corporators, youth, and local leaders strengthened police-public collaboration in maintaining law and order.
  • Strengthened Preventive Policing: Encouraged responsible behaviors such as using Dial 100/112, supporting She Teams, adopting road safety practices, and installing CCTV cameras.
  • Safer and More Secure Communities: Boosted public confidence in the police and created a crime-aware, safer society through sustained engagement.
