Case Study
JioRA: For Revenue Assurance
JIO RA Revenue Assurance is a web-based revenue assurance system focused on the needs of the telecommunications industry. Putting customers first by ensuring that an organisation doesn’t overcharge or undercharge the customer and stopping any revenue leakage to the organisation.
Problem
Traditional RA systems that are available in the market can’t read the data from API and increase hardware costs to the organisation. Users had to navigate multiple apps and platforms for various services such as usage, recharges, subscribers, etc. This fragmented experience led to confusion and inefficiency, demanding a unified platform to streamline user interactions.
Solution
Jio Platforms implemented a comprehensive and multifaceted strategy by utilising resources, transitioning from legacy systems to a cloud-native architecture, and processing huge volumes with the traditional approach. Current telecom players use sampling methodology to avoid processing huge volumes. Along with their robust architecture, we process complete data for reconciliation.
Outcome
The Jio RA app’s automation and self-service features empower users to perform audits and reconciliation, and it can handle increasing user demands and support additional services seamlessly. Jio RA utilises load-balancing techniques to distribute user requests across multiple servers. This ensures the app can efficiently handle increasing user traffic and maintain optimal performance during peak usage.
Jio RA application is a super-app that serves as a near real-time audit/reconciliation for a XDR load of 84 billion per day. This avoids the replication of data at multiple applications. One-to-many and many-to-one source reconciliation can be performed with minimal resources (CPU, Memory) and minimal time.
Summary
Jio RA application has made the business user’s life easy with more automation features where the audits or reconciliations can be performed near real-time and the dashboard online. Jio Platforms evaluated the Jio RA app’s success based on the END user experience and feedback. Faster identification and reactivation of issues helped it reduce customer complaints, create trust and save any revenue leakage to organisation.
