Problem

• No single platform which can provide complete information on new investment leads because of which monitoring the status of projects became challenging.
• Departments and investors were facing challenges in tracking the project’s status and reaching out to the relevant stakeholder to resolve issues. 
• There was no centralized platform for investors to file their investment intent, submit land facilitation requests and reach out to the concerned department.
• Lack of connection with prospective investors and the State witnessed the loss of inward investments.
• Need for a communication channel to raise queries and tackle event management problems.

Solution

• Designed and implemented ‘Nivesh Sarathi’ to reduce physical touchpoints from filing investment intent to grounding an investment project.
• Enabled online MoU signing system for the investor to help them sign the intent & get it approved by the concerned department.
• Facilitated query addressing through the online portal and an event management system that provides solutions like participant registration, B2G/B2B meetings etc.
• Provided simplified procedures for starting and operating a business along with ICT enablement and transparency in the system.
• Investors can place requirements of land for the project through the portal and suitable land options will be provided by authorities to the investor through the portal only.

Outcomes

• The Portal is a one-stop solution for investors to redress grievances, file investment intents, seek facilitation and monitoring of their investment projects.
• Received a total of 23,677 intents of investments & 22,380 MoU have been signed through the portal.
• The investor gets first-hand information directly from the officers, making the decision-making process easier.
• Integrated land facilitation module to map the land requirement for investors in the portal, with 432 requests for land allotment mapped on the portal.
• Query module with the integration of all the departments on the portal to address the grievances of investors.
