Reduction of Home Delivery & Declining of Maternal Mortality Ratio

- The prevalence of home delivery in Deogarh was 16% in the year 2021-22.
- Domestic violence and partner control were predisposing factors for home delivery.
- Lack of freedom to go out alone or to visit a healthcare facility could have predisposed women to have more home deliveries.
- Lack of mobility support and hilly areas.
Achievements
- Due to the intervention of the district health team, the rate of home delivery was reduced.
- The home delivery was reduced to 5 number, which was 0.14 % earlier.
- District MMR is also reduced, which is 106 decline of 94 points.
- Transportation facilities and awareness generation has been emphasized.
- Particular focus has been given to the vulnerable population, including the women living in more disadvantaged socioeconomic areas.
