5- SANKALP- Fight against Malnutrition
Nomination
- High rate of malnutrition and lack of awareness regarding healthy behaviors and habits.
- Inadequate complementary feeding and lack of diet diversity in infants and young children
- Insufficient antenatal care (ANC) during the first trimester of pregnancy.
- Low consumption of iron-folic acid (IFA) tablets among pregnant women
Achievements
- Conducted awareness campaigns to promote complementary feeding and diet diversity and the importance of early ANC visits
- Monthly Sankalp Sabha meetings are held at the village level to sensitize the community.
- Dedicated a wall painting on the 5 Behaviors and 5 Sankalps at the village entrance to aware people.
- Established a consistent tracking mechanism that included 5 Sankalp branded materials.
