Solution
- Opening online applications, developing the portal, and verifying applications.

- Generating approximately 72,000 login IDs and passwords within 6 days.
- Receiving and uploading 70,26,352 total applications from beneficiaries to the portal within 15 days.
- Opening Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts for 70 lakh female beneficiaries under the scheme.
Outcomes
- Deepened financial inclusion, where 86.7% had a bank account before MVY and a similarly high share are now Aadhaar-linked.
- Prioritisation of nutrition in spending, with 94% reporting improved food for children and over 90% reporting improved family nutrition overall.
- Increased women’s empowerment, with over 75% deciding independently how funds are spent and roughly 95% reporting increased respect from family/community.
- Significant reliance on direct transfers, with about one-third of families considering MVY their main or only fixed income source and ~46% expecting a major impact if discontinued.
- Establishment of individually controlled financial assets for women owning little to no productive property, providing a direct lever for economic empowerment.
