- Small units got severely affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- People in the rural area lost their livelihood, especially the daily wagers and people from the weaker section.
- Scarcity of employment generation activities in rural areas.
- People had to migrate to cities for livelihood.
Achievements
- During FY 2022-23, under the PMEGP scheme total of 359 units were financed, which employed 2329 people.
- During FY 2022-23, under the Stand Up India scheme, a total of 47 units were financed and 492 people got employment.
- During FY 2022-23, 40712 beneficiaries got covered for setting up income-generating activities.
- Under the MoU signed with NSFDC, NBCFDC, NSKFDC and NHFDC, 36651 beneficiaries got covered under various credit schemes.
