- Long and strenuous traffic snarls in Rajiv Gandhi InfoTech Park at Hinjawadi.
- Huge Pollution and noise levels arise because of a huge number of private vehicles entering/leaving the IT Park.
- A substantial number of accidents per year on account of the huge number of two-wheelers vehicles.
- Absence of multiple modes of the public transport system and lack of inter-modal connectivity.
Achievements
- Air-conditioned, fast, comfortable and reliable 23.203 km long Metro Line having 23 stations.
- Reduced travel time between Hinjawadi Phase III and Shivajinagar.
- Improving the quality of life.
- Both direct and indirect employment generation (creation of thousands of jobs) during the construction and operations phase.
