- Increasing incidence of breast cancer in young age females of India.
- Lack of awareness of breast cancer symptoms, signs and mortality among Indian women.
- Prevailing social stigma about breast cancer
- Mobilization of women for screening, treatment and follow-up
Achievements
- Early detection of cancer thus provides breast-conserving surgery (BCS) for the patients and reduces morbidity, and mortality.
- 11000 patients were screened and 390 breast malignancies were confirmed.
- Mammograms have been done for 621 patients in the Mega camp conducted in October 2021.
- Asymptomatic women came to the camp and got benefitted.
