Solution
- Deployed rooftop solar panels in saturation mode across three Gram Panchayats.
- Muft Bijli Yojana to fund and scale implementation.
- Engaged seven agencies for fast-tracked installation and grid synchronisation.
- Undertook community engagement to create awareness about sustainability and responsible consumption.
- Enabled District Collector-led coordination for seamless inter-departmental convergence.
Outcomes
- 100% of households in three Gram Panchayats have converted to solar-powered homes.
- Expected generation of 48 lakh electricity units per year.
- Reduction of 4,500 metric tons of CO2 annually, equivalent to the absorption capacity of 2.04 lakh trees.
- Model village for Net-Zero transition with potential for statewide replication.
- Positive behavioural shift among residents towards eco-friendly practices.
