  • The planting materials (seedlings) were not available at the plantation site.
  • The revolving funds required by a particular organisation to take up the timely raising of seedlings.
  • Centralised nursery by horticulture department for production of seedings.
  • Proper supervision and caring was an issue at different nurseries.

Achievements

  • Easy availability of planting materials, i.e. drumstick seedlings at the local level.
  • Rural women’s capacity, coordination and income have been increased through seedling-raising activity.
  •  Timely availability and distribution of planting materials.
  • Generated employment under MGNREGS.
