- The planting materials (seedlings) were not available at the plantation site.
- The revolving funds required by a particular organisation to take up the timely raising of seedlings.
- Centralised nursery by horticulture department for production of seedings.
- Proper supervision and caring was an issue at different nurseries.
Achievements
- Easy availability of planting materials, i.e. drumstick seedlings at the local level.
- Rural women’s capacity, coordination and income have been increased through seedling-raising activity.
- Timely availability and distribution of planting materials.
- Generated employment under MGNREGS.
