Single Platform for Recruitment

Problem

• Visiting departmental websites to know about recruitments published by government
• Remembering application details and user login for each recruitment
• Fee process was not online
• Candidates needed to fill in same personal, qualification and experience details every time
•  No mechanism for auto system generation of roll number and exam center allocation

Solution

• Single web application for recruitments 
• Recruitment portal was under  Single Sign On (SSO) login and implemented one time registration process 
• Saving data of application form of one recruitment for future usage
• Integrated educational details with DigiLocker and educational Institutes API 
• Provision of online mode of fee payment, checking results and other information

Outcomes

• Portal is being used by RPSC, Rajasthan Staff selection Board, Police Department, Medical department and other departments 
• Conducted 140+ recruitments 
• Around 2.5Crs applications were received 
• Notified aspirants about new vacancies and one time registration facility
• Enabled aspirants to apply for various posts sitting at homes or through eMitra Centers

Single Platform for Recruitment

Introduction:

Rajasthan Recruitment Portal was initiated as a single solution which facilitated government departments to conduct recruitment related activities smoothly and enabled all job aspirants to apply and pay fee online for various advertised posts. 

Problem:

Before the initiative was deployed, candidates had to go to departmental websites to learn about new job openings announced by the government. They had to remember application information and user login for each recruitment.  There was no online payment method. 

Solution:

After the implementation of the project, candidates were able to apply for recruitments with a single login and there was no need to remember application details because data was kept in the candidate’s account. To validate the data, educational details were merged with DigiLocker and Educational Institutes API. It included online fee payment and easy admit card download.

Outcomes:

This portal is utilized by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, Police Department, Medical Department, and other departments. It allowed job seekers to apply for positions from the comfort of their homes or at eMitra Centers.

Challenges:

The most difficult aspect was getting several departments, such as the RPSC, RSSB, and the Police Department, to adopt the Rajasthan Recruitment Portal.

Innovation:

The project enabled government departments to efficiently organize recruiting events and provide information through SMS and email. Statistics for all positions applied for were provided in a single window. Each candidate received a personalized dashboard and the roll number and exam center  were generated automatically, eliminating the need for human participation.

Opportunities:

This model can be applied to other states to make the recruiting process more efficient. The procedure of document verification for non-digital documents can be done in the future. Candidates may be provided with an auto chat feature in order to obtain recruitment-related information.

Summary:

A total of over 140 recruitments have been performed through this site, and more than 2.5Crs applications have been received thus far. Job seekers from all over India are applying for the different recruitments issued by the Government of Rajasthan.
