Fostering Entrepreneurship in Uttarakhand Campuses

Absence of a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Uttarakhand.
Limited preference among youth for self-employment and entrepreneurship as viable career options.
Lack of awareness and orientation toward startups among youth and local communities.
High migration rates to metropolitan cities for better job opportunities.
Insufficient promotion of new enterprise creation, employment generation, and balanced economic growth to enhance the State’s contribution to GDP.

Develop faculty mentors to establish entrepreneurial cells in campuses, fostering an ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
Motivate youth to pursue self-employment and entrepreneurship through bootcamps.
Conduct 12-day Entrepreneurship Development Programs to equip students and youth with skills for enterprise creation.
Provide mentoring and handholding support for students to launch and diversify their enterprises.
Assist emerging student enterprises with funding applications, branding, licensing, marketing, and other essential services.

Development of 185 faculty mentors to cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets among youth.
Sensitization of 10,291 students and training of 3,771 students in entrepreneurship.
Creation and diversification of 303 student enterprises.
Awarding of Startup Seed Funds to 20 student teams for pursuing innovative entrepreneurial ideas.
Establishment of 124 Entrepreneurship Cells and 10 Centers of Excellence across educational campuses in Uttarakhand.
