Problem
- High cost of properties & maintenance
- Majority group belongs to (EWS) and (LIG) category who cannot afford their own house
- Majority of the group are living on a rental basis.
- Huge monthly rental spends continuing childhood poverty
- Paucity of land due to increased requirements
Solution
- Provision of housing facility with basic infrastructure to the (EWS) or Lower income group.
- Constructed houses of different shapes, sizes, types and costs suiting the housing needs of different income groups.
- Facilitation of finance through various financial institutions with less/limited documentation.
- Provision of easy installment facility to the beneficiaries through hire purchase scheme
- Launched various schemes to address the needs of people through subsidies.
Outcomes
- Board allotted 71% houses to EWS and LIG category group
- A total of nearly 61500 houses including individual flats and plots are already alloted.
- Equalized the rental or buying market costs
- Promoted better quality and standard of living.
- Developed land at the rate of Rs.1.00 per Sq. Ft. & provided additional subsidies.
