Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centers (AC&ABC) Scheme

Problem

  • No instant Safety and security application for women to reach out to the Police Department
  • The difficulty for the police in locating and contacting victims
  • The inability of women and girls to find or locate the unsafe areas 
  • Most women of various ages, to this day, are being subjected to violence, domestic abuse, and rape.
  • 65% of Indian men believe women should tolerate violence to keep the family together, and women sometimes deserve to be beaten.

Solution

  • Created a pool of 84,783 trained Agripreneurs, out of which 37,658 candidates established Agri-Ventures in rural areas
  • Created self-employment opportunities for unemployed agricultural graduates and transformed them into Agripreneurs.
  • Strengthened Public Extension by providing extension and other services to farmers through Agripreneurs. 
  • Ensured expert advisory services to farmers by trained Agripreneurs on various agricultural aspects to enhance their yield by 17.4% and increase their income by 28.8%
  • Created employment for 2.24 Lakh persons (@ 6 per Agripreneur), thus addressing the unemployment problem in villages.

Outcomes

  • A large pool of 84,783 trained Agripreneurs whose services can be utilised for Agricultural Development in the country.
  • Establishment of 37,658 Agri-Ventures in 32 categories to provide Extension Advisory to farmers to enhance the productivity of crops/animals 
  • Made Agripreneurship an important self-employment opportunity for unemployed agri graduates, ensuring reverse migration
  • Increase in yield by 17.4% and increase in income by 28.8%. as each Agripreneur is serving 570 farmers covering 30 villages. 
  • Agripreneurs created a total of 2.24 Lakh jobs for sons and daughters of farmers and invested Rs.1.49 Lakh Crores in agriculture.
