Introduction:
AWL is committed to reimagine green energy in our operations for betterment of environment. AWL is using solar energy in plants, to spearhead environment friendly growth, reduce carbon emissions and improve people’s lives.
Problems:
Reduction of carbon footprints to clean the environments and use of green energy during transportation of products. Use of Multi-modal transportation for reduction of CO2 and adoption at ground level and team, managing the team for implementation.
Solution:
Proper task allocation to team for achieving the task and working on clear objective for reduction of the CO2. Review and proper discussion along with all team members for timely implementation.
Challenges:
Adoption at ground level and team, managing the team for implementation and motivation to team for achieving the target was a challenge. Productivity will increase in terms of resulting into enhance plant space after getting the visibility of the vehicle inside and outside.
Innovation:
They wanted to contribute towards ESG framework for better and clean environment, also it is part of their CSR. Also, this is part of their monthly supply chain planning so that they will optimize the cost as well achieve the desired numbers of green pints.
Outcomes:
Increase in multi-modal transportation and adoption and adoption of CNG vehicles and promotion of clean fuel. Incentive to vendors to promote clean vehicles so that adoption is more.
Opportunities:
In this project they are driving from bottom of heart to achieve the desired Goal of organization.
Summary:
The company incentivizes use of CNG / EV vehicles for its supply chain activities. Current year dispatches through CNG vehicles. They have encouraged use of railway operations and the share of this mode of transportation during the current FY .
