  1. Such initiatives will impact lives of small and marginal farmers through generating higher yields, gross revenue, and net income. Best wishes and congratulations to PD, Watersheds, Koraput for this outstanding contribution to the mission of the DSC & WD, Odisha.

  2. The project is unique in kind, such type of project will conserve and use judiciously the precious natural resources i.e soil and water. One of serious problems due to shifting cultivation which is predominat in this terrain can be better addressed by providing sustenance livelihoods. This project will increase cultivable land, production and productivity will be more due to assured and controlled irrigation. So migration will be less in feature. Further, replication of such projects in similar topography will be beneficial. Congratulations to the team Koraput and Team Leader Sri Bhavani Sankar Kalo, P.D, Watershed , Korapu, who is always innovative and inspirational. My best wishes

  5. The project is unique one and very much useful in such terrain. It not only increase cultivable area but also increase production and productivity. Variety of crop can be taken up round the year because of climatic conditions and availability of controlled irrigation.Such project will provide solutions to migration and shifting cultivation which is one of crucial and burning problem.
