West Bengal Forest Development Corporation Ltd is serving forest adjacent poor and backward million people through joint forest management system from the last few decades. It helps in income generation among the poor and uplift them socio-economically. It acts as one of the pioneering agency to alleviate the rural econmy in West Bengal.
JFMC functioning and implementation of JFMC principles in West Bengal would not have been successful without the direct involvement of WBFDC. I’m sure, in coming days this coordination and WBFDC support will further consolidate and strengthen JFMC structure in the state.
