Namma Kovai – District Administration, Coimbatore

I have been part of Namma kovai since beginning . It’s an excellent effort for the betterment efforts of city by United efforts of city administration and all the NGOs, volunteers and public. I live in Singapore and from rural coimbatore , a city called Sulur. From Singapore, through Namma kovai, I am able to contribute back hone. It puts in touch with all the volunteers and NGO and for example during corona time, I got the NRI friends to donate and help the corporation to buy the masks and suit for Drs. Manage to find beds/ oxygen cylinders fir corona patients through volunteers…. We could get the info of the corona centers in other cities in coimbatore and ppl get admissions, food distribution etc. we are able to connect with company CSR contacts and we are able to infrastructure for Govt school. I am involved in my town’s lake rejuvenation. We have STP plant to treat our towns sewage plant. Through this portal,I was able to contact Collector sir and get the meetings organized with our NGO and get the permission/ help needed to run the STP plant effectively together with Panchayat. This Namma kovai is a Blessing to do the best work for the city along with the support of other NGOs and district administration. With WhatsApp I could participate from Singapire and do work in my hometown . I am honored to be part of this initiative.
