Special thanks to team WASSAN whose years ago dream for enhancing of livelihoods of Tribals of the State though promoting millet cultivation and improving practices of cultivation gets fulfilled in a formalized manner and still a lot to be done.
Remembering late Dr. N.K. Sanghi, Former Advisor, WASSAN, on this occasion whose vision during 2007 to see Odisha as a Millet rich State comes true.

Feel proud to initiate and an important part of “Special Program for Promotion of Millets in Tribal Areas of Odisha” nick named Odisha Millets Mission since January 2016 to January 2020, the initial years for convincing, liasioning, making others understanding, promoting, adapting were really hard task.
It is for the 2nd time this program is going to be awarded by SKOCH.

Considering the Climate change future crops to encounter the vagaries of climate change are the millets and the the initiatives taken by the department is praiseworthy and I feel proud to a part of OMM since its inception in Sundargarh district.
Odisha Millet Mission, the wonderful initiative and it has created a place in the heart of small and marginal tribal farmers of Odisha. It has addressed the food and nutritional security and the important, it has improved the livelihood of the farmers. Women stepped out and taking the lead.
This project has given me immense pleasure and happiness to work with the farmers. Definitely, in the coming days, it will create more opportunities for our farmers.
