  • Severe Legal Consequences and Penalties: Tackles students’ lack of awareness regarding criminal laws and NDPS Act penalties.
  • Irreversible Health and Medical Hazards: Combats ignorance about physical/mental deterioration and neurological damage caused by drug use.
  • Profound Family Trauma and Social Breakdown: Addresses psychological distress and family disruptions resulting from substance abuse.
  • Lack of Productive Outlets and Peer Pressure: Counters negative distractions and vulnerability to peddlers by channeling youth energy into positive activities.

Solution

  • Multidisciplinary Faculty Collaboration: Partnered with police officers, medical doctors, and social activists to deliver comprehensive legal, health, and family educational sessions.
  • Interactive Creative Engagement: Involved secondary school students in structured poster-making and elocution competitions to internalize anti-narcotics values.
  • Community-Wide Public Solidarity: Executed large-scale public initiatives, such as the International Drug Day 2K run, uniting citizens and police.
  • Sports Engagement (NSC-NPL): Organized the week-long Nizamabad Premier League sports meet under the theme “Say Yes to Sports and No to Drugs”.
  • Targeted School Outreach (Mission Sankalp): Engaged secondary school children with expert counselling and awareness sessions.

Outcomes

  • Heightened Public Awareness: Successfully educated thousands of students and citizens across Nizamabad on the severe legal, medical, and family consequences of narcotics.
