Andhra Pradesh is experiencing a sharp rise in Non-Communicable Diseases, with NCDs accounting for nearly 60 percent of the disease burden in the state.
Increasing incidence of cancer and cardiovascular diseases has strained the public health system and increased out-of-pocket expenditure for households.
Preventive healthcare practices were not institutionalised at scale across schools, communities, and workplaces.
Limited availability of trained yoga professionals restricted the regular adoption of yoga as a preventive health practice.
Absence of a unifying, large-scale public movement to promote yoga as a daily wellness habit across diverse population groups.

Registration of 2.44 crore citizens, exceeding the initial target of 2 crore participants.
Creation of 1.44 lakh certified yoga trainers and 5,451 master trainers across the state.
Training of 60 lakh students in the Common Yoga Protocol through the school education system.
Successful organisation of a 26.3 km yoga corridor in Visakhapatnam with participation of 3.01 lakh people.
Achievement of 2 Guinness World Records and 21 World Book of Records, enhancing global visibility of the state.
