Unchecked pollution and poor waste management practices threatened public health and the environment.
Overflowing landfills and illegal dumping have degraded urban and rural landscapes.
Low awareness among citizens regarding waste segregation, hygiene, and sustainability.

Around 2 crore citizens participated in the March 2025 Swachha Andhra Day, fostering mass behavioural change.
Source segregation practices are being adopted across all urban local bodies, improving solid waste management efficiency.
Reactivation of rural Solid Waste Processing Centres and improved Gram Panchayat waste collection coverage.
Cleaner streets, better air and water quality, and increased public hygiene awareness.
Built a foundation for Andhra Pradesh to achieve “Net Zero” emissions by 2047 through sustained environmental action.
