  • Decreased air quality and equine dung polluting soil and water bodies, including Mandakini River. 
  • Equine Deras, residing in the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary affect local fauna.
  • Presence of unregistered animals contributing to pollution and animal abuse.

Achievements

  • Forecasting the challenges on ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Discussions were held well in advance with stakeholders taking cue from the last year data and micro planning. 
  • The entire Yatra Road from Sirobagar border to Gaurikund along with track was divided in 14 Sectors.
  • 24×7 Yatra control Room was set-up and more than 100 CCTV Cameras were installed on yatra trek.
