Problem
- All branches of CGSWC manage their data separately, due to which all records have become decentralized.
- It is very difficult to have all processes of storage work on paper and register.
- Managing stock position is complex and each stack loss/gain report has to be calculated manually.
- Taking too much time to enter received stock and issued stock.
- Lack of coordination of branches with head office due to all processes being offline
Solution
- Hired experienced software engineers to develop customized applications.
- Skilled manpower to operate web applications.
- Provide internet infrastructure and the latest configured computer system.
- Agreement with NIC to purchase application and database cloud server.
- Standing instructions are given to all the branch managers.
Outcomes
- All the data became centralized and they can see real-time activities of all branches.
- Provide day-to-day updates of receipt and issued stock details by various reports.
- This online system reduces the time to improve the work culture.
- They are able to share real-time data with state depositors and centre depositors like NAN, FCI etc.
