YSR Pension Kanuka

Problem

• Identification of eligible beneficiaries in the YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme.
• Providing social assistance to the targeted people is transparent, hassle-free and punctual in the disbursement.
• Disbursement of pension to the Right Beneficiary in punctuality mode.
• Disbursement of pension for this whose AADHAAR Biometric authentication fails.
• Creation of users where the health pensioners and biometric failed pensioners are available.

Solution

• Integrated different departmental data to validate the eligibility of the pensioner as per the scheme guidelines.
• YSR Pension Kanuka, a social security pension scheme, is a major welfare measure to ameliorate the hardships of the poor.
• Integrated AADHAAR services through UIDAI for making Biometric (fingerprint and IRIS) authentication and payment architecture.
• Integrated Artificial Intelligence to capture facial images and validate the live pensioner face with the Image captured during enrolment.
• Pension distribution will be done at the doorsteps of the pensioner transparently through the Aadhar-based authentication.

Outcomes

• About 60 lakh poor and infirm people are getting monthly pensions from various categories like old age, widow, single women, transgender, etc.
• A Mobile app has been developed with all the UIDAI-approved devices. 
• Integration and Architecture are planned to meet the concurrent connections.
• Periodic verification of the eligible criteria per the Government guidelines with the integrated database of the line departments.
• Able to disburse the pensions by using Artificial Intelligence facial recognition Real Beneficiary Identification System (RBIS) to the biometric failed pensioners.
