The project will certainly improve the pros and cons and definitely improve the system.
The Water Services wing under Department of Water Resources, Odisha is being managed by the Chief Engineer, Water Services under the dynamic guidance of Special Secretary to Government. The IWCRCM is being implemented by the wing to rationalise effectively the collection of industrial water rates and other allied aspects. Excellent initiative by a State Govt organization towards automation along with value addition. Using latest technology and trends like IOT and Data Analytics, this will be replicable across states and other departments, for bulk consumers. It will not only be beneficial for the service provider and biller, but a boon for the consumer with transparent data and billing, payment reconciliation, and reporting.
