Very effective in ensuring seamless working of the Railway system with limited hands with adequate social distancing and to provide logistic support in movement of Sharmik specials
Good initiative
Southern Railway operated Shramik Train in coordination with the State Governments and transported 7.3 lakh+ guest workers from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka states and the Union territory of Puducherry to their nearest stations across the nation.
The parcel express trains operated by Southern Railway since lockdown is helping farmers, retailers and small scale entrepreneurs etc. in a big way during the COVID19 pandemic period.
Business Development Units set up at Headquarters and all the 6 Divisions of S.Rly is roping in new freight and logistics customers during the post lockdown period.
