  • Cost considerations can be a significant barrier to implementing rainwater harvesting projects.
  • Engaging stakeholders and building community support for rainwater harvesting projects can be challenging.
  • 65 percent of the water stored in the ground was being used.
  • Today the situation is 70 percent of water is used through groundwater abstraction.

Achievements

  • The result of this campaign was that rain water harvesting was done on government buildings, health centers. Etc., along with rain water harvesting in about 2500 houses.
  • Swachh Maji Udyan and Swachh Maji Open Space competition was organized by the Municipal Corporation
  • 40 absorption pits were created in the parks for rain water harvesting.
  • Now the citizens are more aware of Rain water harvesting.
