  29. This initiative is good ,i am working as Consultant to Prathibha Syntex,which is promoting 40 -50 thousand farmers who are growing organic cotton in MP
    We have developed very good quality G arboreum lines and distributing to farmers ,Intra hirsutum hybrids are also .there.
    With WWF India when I worked in Chindawada MP 6000 farmers cultivated oraganic cotton .
    I appreciate the work of Gujarat Govt .
    Nonbt cultivation should be promoted in this project .

  33. This is an excellent initiation towords ecological rejuvenation. Todays need for carbon sequestration /Global warming mitigation programs can be achieved through such initiatives. Avoiding excess usage of irrigation water and other modern agricultural practices – can be achieved by uplifting the farmers from forest areas.
    I am motivating farmers in south india for cultivation of Tree crops like mahagony, cashew sandle and etc.

  339. Kudos to the Team GEER Foundation on the grand achievement for implementing NAFCC Project in Kutch district of Gujarat State. Fortunate enough to get the opportunity to closely monitor the progress of the project, I observed that the Team’s efforts in the project has been remarkably commendable in the challenging and adverse working conditions on the ground especially during the devastating COVID -19. The impact of the project has been visibly transforming while deeply touched the lives of intended beneficiaries and achieved the objectives as envisaged for climate resilient & adaptive practices following nature based solutions. All the stakeholders and key officials concerned played their assigned roles in very coordinated and cooperative manner, overcoming the circumstantial obstacles to make the project success. Finally, while acknowledging and appreciating the profound contribution of each and everyone from GEER Foundation associated with the project, at this juncture, I would particularly like to mention the name of Mr. Darpak Joshi, the Community Mobilizer cum Field Coordinator under the project who has been very professional, intelligent, organized, proactive, supportive, prompt, having depth knowledge of the project activities in general and domain area in particular besides his ability to easily manage the situations with positive approach & connect with community applying his great interpersonal skills and his never say no attitude keeps him class apart. All these personality attributes of Mr. Joshi attracts special attention and he really deserve extraordinary recognition. I wish him all success and good fortune in his future endeavours and once again congratulate one and all from the Team GEER Foundation for achieving landmark success under NAFCC Project.
